About

About Winsaip

Independent File Transfer Learning & Workflow Platform. The pages are written in American English for people who work on Windows and need to move files to or from a remote system.

What the site provides

Guides explain a first session, SFTP, FTP and FTPS, ordinary transfers, synchronization, scripting, SSH keys, and a way to read connection failures. Four tools run in the browser: a connection builder, a protocol comparison, an error finder, and a security checklist. They rearrange explanations. They do not open network connections to the hosts you name elsewhere.

How visitors use it

You arrive with a job, choose a workflow or a guide, and use a tool when a comparison or a checklist is faster than reading. You then use your own file client, on a server you are allowed to access, with credentials you type only into that client. There are no accounts on this site and no remote session we can join.

What the site does not do

Independence

Winsaip is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers of WinSCP.

Dialog names in the guides follow that project’s public documentation as reviewed on October 21, 2026. The documentation can change. When a label on your screen differs, the Help button in that version is the authority. Winsaip is not a support channel for the developers and cannot file bugs for them.

Who operates it

A legal operator name, mailing address, and telephone number have not been published. Those fields exist in the site configuration and stay off this page until they are real. Do not treat the domain name as a company registration.

Questions about the site itself go to [email protected] or the contact page. There is no form on that page.

Limits of the writing

The guides describe widely documented behavior. They cannot know your firewall, your hosting panel, or the build you have installed. Examples use example.com names and fake account names on purpose. Copying an example hostname into the client will not reach your files.
